Round 1 Wrap Up

What a wild weekend!!

We had every kind of weather - hot and humid, rain and storms, overcast - everything was thrown at us! With 37 teams involved it was the largest field we’ve ever competed with.

Practice 1 + 2 Friday:

Fastest lap 1.56.6748 in practice 1

Qualifying Saturday:

Fastest lap 1.51.0586, placing us in 24th for Race 1.

Race 1 Saturday:

Started 24th, finished 26th with a fastest lap of 1.51.3683.

Race 2 Sunday:

A delayed start due to the overnight rain and early morning storm…Started in 26th, finished in 26th, with a fastest lap of 2.13.7948.

Race 3 Sunday:

Started in 26th, finished in 24th, with a fastest lap of 1.55.9881

Overall, considering the weather, a solid result and excellent prep for the whole team. Fine tuning of the whole team was important. 86 Series will be our focus for Round 2 in July, at the wonderful Townsville track.

We’ll also be in the NSW Production Touring Cars series in May, at Wakefield Park.
